Nakato Grace’s Story: Meet Nakato Grace, a 22-year-old woman whose physical appearance may deceive you into thinking she is just a 10-year-old girl. Nakato, a resident of Mityana district, lives with her devoted mother. At the age of four, Nakato was diagnosed with a disease that not only hindered her growth but also prevented her from developing like other children. Despite facing numerous health chall enges, Nakato’s mother has been a pillar of strength, enduring hardships to care for her children.

Nakato’s father abandoned the family when she started experiencinghealth difficulties, leaving them without any financial support. They have endured many tragedies and dilemmas, residing in inadequate mud houses that are unsuitable for human habitation. Nakato’s twin sister, Babirye, took it upon herself to find employment and provide for the family, but her meager earnings are barely enough to meet their basic needs. Our organization had the privilege of meeting Nakato and her mother during a recent outreach program in Mityana.

We provided them and many others with essentials such as posho, soap, sugar, and clothes. Our belief lies not only in offering help but also in sharing what we have with those in need. We are committed to expanding our reach and assisting more individuals like Nakato and her family. Our goal is to extend a helping hand wherever we can, driven by our passion to serve.
